Jonathan U. Villa, age 51. Beloved husband of Maria Gisela (nee Caguicla) Villa. Loving father of Jonas Villa. Cherished son of Melchora (nee Umandal) and the late Bartolo Villa. Dearest brother of Elmer (Merly) Villa, Augusto (Marilyn) Villa, Roy Villa, Maria (Manny) Ortega, and Eugene (Lilibeth) Villa. Dear uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Jonathan will be held on Friday, August 17th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Lying in State Saturday, August 18th, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle, 524 N. Rush St., Itasca. Interment Maryhill

Margaret J. Barker, 66, passed away August 6, 2018. Margaret graduated Steinmetz High School in Chicago and worked in Quality Control most of her life. She was an avid lover of many sports, especially football and loved and cared for many dogs throughout her lifetime. Margaret was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas R. and Marion J. Sullivan; beloved sister of Maureen (Charles) Boland, Thomas (Kathy) Sullivan, Patrick (Patricia) Sullivan, and Kathy (Rick) Glenn; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Memorial Visitation Wednesday, August 15th from 6-8pm with service at 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Buddy Foundation Animal Shelter- Arlington Heights.
Patricia L. Morris  -  80
Patricia L. Morris, nee McDonald, 80, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018. Born in Cody, Wyoming, Patricia was a 47 year resident of Elk Grove Village. She was valedictorian of her Cody High School class and graduated with honors in 1960 from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Business. Patricia was a loving homemaker, quilter, library assistant, former Girl Scout leader, and St. Julian Eucharistic minister. She was an active volunteer at PADS and Alexian Brothers Med. Ctr. Patricia was the beloved wife of Edward F. Morris for 57 years. She was the loving mother of Teresa A. Morris, Kathleen L. Whitman, and Jennifer L. Morris and cherished Nana of Kacie L. and Dayton F. Whitman. Visitation Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 4 to 9pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village with chapel prayers, Thursday, 10am, followed by 10:30am Mass at St. Julian Eymard Church. Interment at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Nenita S. Garcia
Nenita S. Garcia, resident of Elk Grove Village for 12 years. Formerly lived in Wheaton for 28+ years. Died in Elk Grove Village on August 4, 2018 due to natural causes. She was born in Cavite, Philippines to Julian Salcedo and Dolores Baquir on February 13, 1926, the fourth of ten children. She graduated with a dentistry degree from the University of the Philippines. Shortly afterward, she matriculated at New York University (New York City, NY) and Georgetown University (Washington, DC) for postgraduate degrees in the specialty of periodontology. When she returned to the Philippines, she married Dionicio C. Garcia, electrical engineer and professor at Mapua Institute of Technology. She taught periodontology full-time at the University of the East and was in private practice part-time. Her husband accepted a job in Chicago in 1969, then she and their three children joined him a year later in 1970. They moved to Wheaton Il. She started teaching full-time in the Department of Periodontology at Loyola University of Chicago, School of Dentistry, Maywood, IL in 1971. She was also in private practice in Chicago and Oak Park. She retired from teaching in 1990 and in private practice shortly after. She divorced in 2006 then moved to Elk Grove Village. She was active with the Philippine American Dental Society of the Midwest and became one of its presidents. She was a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society. She was preceded in death by her youngest child, Gloria Corazon Garcia, in 1965. She is survived by 2 younger sisters (Jesusa Cao and Wilhelmina Mariano), 3 children (Mary Claire, Riza, Fernando) and 2 grandchildren (Matthew, Emilai). Memorial services will be private.

James A. Denna, Sr, 67, of Park Ridge for 9 years, formerly of Elk Grove Village. Born in Elmhurst he passed away Aug. 3, 2018. James was a retired Elk Grove Village Fire Battalion Chief for 40 years and former firefighter in Bensenville. He was the owner of Denna Lawn and Sport for 50 years. James was the beloved husband of Melissa L. (nee Ruiz) for 6 years and the late Sharon (nee Barr); loving father of James A. Jr. (Kimberly) Denna, Robert A. (Shannon) Denna and stepfather of Danielle Pretzer and Mark (Tanja) Pretzer; cherished grandfather of Emily, Abigail, Alex, Aubrey, Riley, Brayden and Macin and dear brother of Larry (Wendy) and the late John (Lori) Denna. Visitation Thursday, August 9 from 3-9pm at Grove Memorial Chapel 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village. Chapel service Friday at 10am. Memorial contributions may be made to Ups for Downs (
